This Privacy Policy explains what personal data TechClarityHub ("we", "us", "our") collects when you visit techclarityhub.com (the "Site"), why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and what rights you have. We aim to follow the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) and similar laws. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Site.

1. Who is responsible for your data

The data controller for the Site is TechClarityHub. You can reach us at any time at [email protected] for any question about this policy or about your personal data.

2. Personal data we collect

Data you give us

If you use the contact form or email us, we receive your name, your email address, the content of your message and any other information you choose to include. We use it only to read and reply to your message.

When you visit the Site, our web server and our hosting provider may automatically record technical data such as your IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, the pages you request, the referring page and the date and time of the request. This data is used to deliver the Site, keep it secure, detect abuse and fix errors.

4. Advertising and Google AdSense

We may show advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google and other third-party vendors use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this Site and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this Site and/or other sites on the internet.

Advertising scripts on this Site only load after you accept cookies in our banner. If you reject them, you may still see ads in the future only if they do not require your consent under applicable law, and we will respect your choice.

5. Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only where necessary and only with:

  • Hosting and infrastructure providers that store and deliver the Site and its logs on our behalf, under contracts that require them to protect the data.
  • Email and communication providers used to receive and answer your messages.
  • Advertising and analytics partners such as Google, only after you consent to cookies.
  • Authorities or professional advisers where the law requires it or where needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

These providers act as processors on our instructions or, in the case of advertising partners, as independent controllers with their own privacy policies.

7. International transfers

Some of our providers, including Google, may process data outside the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, for example in the United States. When this happens, we rely on safeguards recognized by law, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision, to protect your data.

8. How long we keep data

  • Contact messages: kept only as long as needed to handle your request and for a reasonable period afterwards, normally no longer than 12 months, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.
  • Server logs: kept for a limited period, generally determined by our hosting provider, and then deleted or anonymized.
  • Cookie choice: stored in your browser until you delete it.
  • Advertising and analytics cookies: kept for the periods set by the relevant provider, which you can read in their policies.

9. Your rights under the GDPR

If you are in the EEA, the United Kingdom or another place with similar laws, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy.
  • Rectify data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Erase your data ("right to be forgotten") in the cases set out by law.
  • Restrict the processing of your data in certain situations.
  • Data portability: receive your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format and have it transmitted to another controller where applicable.
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to any direct marketing.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.
  • Not be subject to automated decisions that produce legal effects on you. We do not make such decisions.
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. In the EU you can find yours on the website of the European Data Protection Board; in the UK it is the Information Commissioner's Office.

To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We aim to respond within one month, as the GDPR requires.

10. Your rights in California (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose, to request deletion or correction of your personal information, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell personal information in exchange for money. Advertising cookies that you accept may count as "sharing" under California law; you can reject them in our banner or opt out at Google Ads Settings. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. To make a request, email us at [email protected].

11. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Some browsers send "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signals. Because there is no common standard for them yet, the Site does not change its behavior when it receives such a signal, but you can always reject cookies in our banner.

12. How we protect your data

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), limited access to the systems that store data and the use of reputable hosting providers. No system on the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a data breach affects your rights, we will notify you and the relevant authority as the law requires.

13. Children

The Site is a general-audience publication and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

14. Links to other websites

Our articles link to third-party websites and services. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. We encourage you to read their privacy policies.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the latest revision. If a change is significant, we will highlight it on the Site.

16. Contact

For any question about this Privacy Policy or to exercise your rights, write to [email protected] or use our contact page.
